Description
Yongzheng Famille Rose Porcelain Bowl Chinese Decorated with flowers in famille rose enamels with a grisaile landscape that is faded.. About 8 inches wide, 3 1/2 inches tall About 574 grams This bowl is covered in restoration material from the 1960's ish. This material was once white, but is now turning yellowish. As was the custom back then, they covered the item with restoration paint, when the actual restoration was much smaller. By shining a bright light through the bowl, I can see there are two hairlines on the rim under the restoration material. Both about 3 inches long. One goes though the bird, and the other goes through the small flower on the back. These two hairlines look tight and fairly minor. This item would look much better if the old restoration material was washed off (some of it is coming off in the inside), and ether left that way, or redo to cover the two hairlines. Made in China in the first half of the 18th Century - Yongzheng - Qianlong, first half of the 1700's in the Qing Dynasty. There are 26 photographs included with this listing.
