Elegant Solid Brass Vintage Kosmos Brenner Oil Lamp with Burgundy Cased Glass Shade and Chimney
BEING SOLD "AS IS"
Not tested. Round wick wheel moves up and down.
This vintage brass oil lamp was imported by my Dad from Denmark.
The tag he tied on it said "imported from Denmark."
It has a Kosmos Brenner oil burner, but I don't know where the rest of the lamp was made.
The round knob on the lamp says Kosmos Brenner on it.
The vintage brass lamp was created pre-1985, that is all I know date-wise.
It has 3 brass feet so it can stand.
It also has a notched hanging hole, so it can be hung up as well. That is why I think it was a maritime lamp originally.
It is solid brass as a magnet does NOT stick to any part of it, not even the round fitter ring.
It has some scratches on the top of the curved shoulders, below the burner and lamp shows some wear. See the pictures.
The wick appears to be unused and the burner looks quite clean to me, but I am not a lamp expert!
The beautiful cased glass light shade is a deep burgundy color on the outside and white on the inside.

Total Lamp Height, to top of chimney: about 14-3/4 inches
Height to top of shade only, about 11-3/4 inches
Fitter INSIDE Diameter 6 inches
Height from table to top of fitter, about 7-1/2 inches
Brass base with 3 legs: diameter is about 3-3/4 inches across
Cased burgundy glass shade base diameter is just under 6 inches across
Clear glass chimney measures about 8-5/16 inches tall.
