Vintage Indeco Milford Guild Nautical Ships Lantern Brass & Mahogany Table Lamp Set with 'Flickering Candle' - RARE!
These were made by a company called Indecor, later renamed Milford Guild who went out of business in the early 1980's. Milford Guild also produced a line of lamps, clocks and weather instruments for Ethan Allen.
Stately, very large ’Ships lantern’ table lamp set with hemp rope trim. This hand crafted set are solid mahogany wood, one with a very realistic flickering orange flamed candle style bulb (included, but can't guarantee how old it is or how long it will last) situated inside the ships amber textured glass lantern and two removable belaying pins; the other with hemp rope trim and four removable belaying pins. Original wiring, full working order. Green felt underside.
The switch turns on the top, bottom or both. Apparently this is modeled after a lantern from a famous ship that was ultimately lost at sea.
Perfect decor for beach homes, nautical themed offices, man caves, etc.
Dimensions:
The lamp with the lantern is 35½" in height from the bottom of the base to the top of the harp where the shade rests. The piece is 15" in width, and 12" in depth.
The shade is 17" across top  x  19" across bottom with a 17" slant.
The lamp with the four belaying pins is 35½" in height from the bottom of the base to the top of the harp where the shade rests. The base is 11" in diameter.
The shade is 15" across top  x  17" across bottom with a 16" slant.
Belaying pins measure 17" long.
The shades are slightly different in texture and size, but have the same brown trim around the top and bottom. They are also brittle from age yet still in tact. Each shade will have to ship it its own box making the shipping cost of this pair of lamps very high.
