Stanley Mouse signed "Workingman's Dead" Grateful Dead 1997 Limited Edition

Description

This is a limited edition print of the Grateful Dead's 1970 "Workingman's Dead" album cover designed by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. There is also a reproduction of an airbrushed drawing of Jerry Garcia by Stanley Mouse, which appeared on the back cover. This is limited edition #1584 of 7500, released in 1997.
The lower right rectangle has been hand signed by the album cover co-artist Stanley Mouse. The signature is not a reproduction, and the overlapping lines of the ink on the paper are clearly visible. There are many good examples of Stanley Mouse's signature online, and this matches them perfectly.
The mat came with the signed photo paper print, and as you can see, the mat partially obstructs the Stanley Mouse signature on top of the cut-out, as well as the "C. Mouse/Kelley" on the bottom. I am assuming Stanley Mouse had a stack of the printed photos (7500!) to sign, and I have seen some where he signed on top of the text, and some on the bottom. I am also assuming that someone made all of the mats in advance, and if it didn't fit perfectly, so they just kept on Truckin...I have priced this lower than other available signed limited editions, so you could use the extra money to have a better fitting mat cut.
The photo paper print is in very good condition, but with a few indentations on the top where it was matted and framed (See photo without mat). This is fairly minor, and does not show with the mat in place. There is a faint crease where in says "No. 1584 of 7500" in the text box.
Packed well between 2 sheets of foamboard and 2 sheets of cardboard. Shipped promptly via USPS.
