One Vintage New Old Stock Very Heavy Brass Mystery Ship Light

Cleaning out my garage and so here is a I guess an engine room light.  I'm not sure why they would have a thing there to break the bulb when there is a switch.  photos for condition and size.   Light is being sold AS-IS  of course.
