The Fiji 50 Dollar banknote is part of the family of notes issued by the Reserve Bank of Fiji in 1996. The banknotes obverse features Queen Elizabeth II, a flying Kakau bird, an embossed patch, flowers, and the national emblem. The reverse of the note depicts a flower, soldiers with rifles at a flag raising ceremony, six men sitting and signing a deed of cession on a table in 1874, flowers, and a Cession Stone with a plaque on Ovalu. The 156 x 67 mm paper bill bears a windowed security thread and a watermark that reflects the head of a Fijian. Additionally, the banknote has a domodomo or a canoe masthead as its registration device. This TAP authenticated banknote comes in uncirculated condition.
