The Fiji 5 Dollar banknote from the 2002 series was issued with enhanced security features. It contains a novel serial number, a wider windowed security thread, and a Fijian head watermark for additional security. The front design of the note features Queen Elizabeth II, a Bunedamu bird perched on a branch, a domodomo as registration device, a silver metallic ornament, and the Coat of Arms of Fiji. The reverse side features the Nadi International Airport (NAN) with baggage carts and other maintenance vehicles servicing four passenger planes, a catamaran ferry, a domodomo, and flowers. The banknote is 156 x 67 mm in size.
