Nautical Marine Mining Beacon Lamps (2) w/ Corning Fresnel Glass Globes.Marked WF Stuckeman & Company Pittsburgh, PA.
I can’t find another one of these anywhere, web or otherwise. They seem to be some sort of explosion proof lighting, yet appear nautical in design.
The housings are cast, very heavy, not sure of material, could be aluminum or zinc, really not certain.
Each are marked with a metal plate as shown, each with its own serial number. Although toggle switches are present no other wiring or actual light bulbs included, just the housings and Corning brand marked fresnel glass globes.
One of the globes has two modest glass damage areas, shown in one of the pictures. Beyond that I see no other damage to the globes.
I’m convinced these are quite rare. Sold as a pair.
Notice last pic is with top removed (5 screws) to highlight the inside, notice the center “hole” on the bottom is threaded, I assume for explosion proof benefit, and likely bulb in some sort of base screwed in, and power came from underneath and connected to the toggle switch. Bulb and base are missing, but assume these could be rewired in some repurposing activity.
Any questions please ask.
