    I'm not a expert on Antique Lanterns but I think this is a Nautical Lantern used on a Boat or Ship
    Has A heavy ribbed glass globe that has at least 2 hairlines in the glass - Top cap may be copper ??
    No Burner inside or Bottom plate is included - Not sure if it was Candle powered or Kerosine or Oil ?
    Lots of signs of age and use - has many coats of old paint - See pics for exact condition !!
