Offering this rare and beautiful antique Blanc De Chine tea bowl/libation cup as we continue to list the best items from an old estate collection!
This object is made of the most pure, brightest white porcelain i have ever handled. The foot rim and interior of the foot are unglazed. See the close up pictures please.
The quality of the applied artwork is extraordinary! It features a mountainous landscape scene with a man fishing in a boat, his humble little home with beautiful shade tree awaits his return. Such a charming scene!
Glaze has an icy blue tone to it in certain light.
There are no marks. Unsure of the exact age -but the object displays an incredibly refined quality in its composition and its artwork which may help to date it. We have found no comparable examples. For my friends educated in Chinese antiques, an opportunity to use your knowledge here!
