    Description

    1908-S Indian Cent, first Small Cent struck anywhere other than at Philadelphia. One story goes that an addition of One Cent to the cost of a streetcar fare in San Francisco, to help with rebuilding of the City after the 1906 Earthquake, led to the need for a large quantity of "Pennies" that could not be met other than by beginning production in that Mint.  Somewhat typical slightly mushy strike seen on this issue (due to Mint forces being unfamiliar with striking non-Silver or Gold) and slight woodgrain planchet color. Original and problem free, with obvious luster around the rims and in protected areas.
    Guaranteed absolutely genuine as always.
